Hymns Ancient & Modern Design & Production Controller 15/11/1999-current

Working with Editorial, Web, Advertising, Publishing and Marketing departments to create print and digital collateral for multiple periodicals, books, and promotional products, to tight deadlines, and in close collaboration with Design & Production colleagues.

Responsibilities include using Adobe CC and Microsoft Office to create page layouts, ads, infographics and flyers to house styles for a range of publications; image collation and correction; creation of PDFs; conversion of files for digital output including web banners and page-turners; creation of QR codes and barcodes; keeping records for the finance department; updating schedules on company intranet; ensuring online and internal archives are accurate and up-to-date; maintaining instruction sheets for departmental processes; liaising with printers and off-site contributors; pre-press via soft-proofing systems.

I have a calm, efficient approach to prioritising workflow within busy and overlapping schedules. I confidently trouble-shoot technical issues as well as accessing external IT support. I enjoy and adapt easily to learning new processes. I communicate openly and effectively with colleagues.

Interests


Regularly run and volunteer at Parkrun, attend gym classes several times weekly, enjoy cooking, country walks, eclectic music, reading novels, following news and politics on Twitter, yoga and meditation, going to arts centres for film, photography, and other art.
